The first blog post after maternity leave feels a little bit like the Very First Ever blog post. How do I even start when so many things have changed?

I’ll keep it short and sweet.

Our beautiful baby arrived in the middle of summer, during one of the longest heat waves I’ve ever experienced in Idaho. She and I are both safe and healthy and happy and we are SO thankful.

Meet our girl, Poppy Kate.

As I’m writing this, she is a laughing, cooing, almost three month old and the absolute joy of our days.

Now, I’m getting back into Studio work and figuring out how to juggle all the things that motherhood brings. I’ll be posting more updates and revamping some things here, Lord willing… but for now, thanks for being happy with us. God’s goodness in new life is absolutely breathtaking.
