If you’re anything like me, headlines can feel like the most complicated part of writing copy. They’re only a few words! Why does writing them feel so tricky?
Headlines are important because they are almost always the first set of words that your client sees. Usually they are the place to connect with your potential clients and let them know that you know what they are dealing with, and you have a solution for a problem they have.
Headlines don’t have to be complicated. Mix and match these to your heart’s content as you build out your website home page!
Of course, every person’s niche and dream client is a little different, but here is a little exploration of what these *could* look like:
“If you’re {insert client specifics}, this is the place for you.”
Example: WEB DESIGN COURSE “If you’re an aspiring designer, this is the place for you.”
“{Insert service} for {insert dream client)”
Example: ETSY ARTIST: “Watercolor portraits for colorful souls.”
“The {insert big picture goal} that you’ve been
dreaming of.”
Example: HOME DECOR STORE: “The minimalist home decor that you’ve been dreaming of.”
“You’re in {insert ideal client’s situation/pain point} and you’re {insert their feeling}”
Example: VIRTUAL ASSISTANT: “You’re in the most hectic season of business, and you’re so ready for a break.”
“Are you looking for a {insert your niche} {insert your industry}?”
Example: PHOTOGRAPHER: “Are you looking for a whimsical + affordable wedding photographer?”
