Last week I wrapped up my final client project before I head into maternity leave in the next several days. I was honored to be included in the rebrand for Abby of Abigail Traver Photo. She had booked a visual rebrand and new website from The Hurcomb Collective, and wanted new copy written at the same time.
This blog post is a brief overview of what the process was like so that you can know whether the same copy service (or something similar) might be just the thing for you too.

Selected Package
Abby chose the Website Copy Refresh for her copy update. Since she was not majorly changing up her offerings or launching an entirely new brand, this seemed like the best fit! I like to refer to the Website Copy Refresh as “The Remodel” … because it’s the copy equivalent of taking out unnecessary features, rebuilding some new spaces, and making everything feel fresh.
Pages Written
The Website Copy Refresh typically includes four completed website pages of copy. Abby wanted me to write her Home Page, Experience Page, Investment Page, and Contact Page.
Customizations and Add-Ons
Typically, when I am writing a website, I write the first draft of all the pages at the same time. It usually is the most streamlined method for feedback and revisions. However, for this site, I wrote one page at a time, as the design drafts were completed. The process took a little longer, but it was so fun to be able to write exactly for the design instead of having to tweak it later!
Abby planned to write her About Page herself, but after the other pages were complete, she asked if I would be willing to edit her About Page. So I did an in-depth audit and edit of her About Page, complete with a Google Doc and Loom video to talk through every detail.

Of course, I have to include the review she wrote after the process:
